Job description: Science teaching role at Secondary School in Southwark, South London Salary: £180 240 per day depending on experience Start Date: September Location: Southwark, South London Contract Term: Temp ongoing Contract Type: Full Time Your new company This Ofsted rated Good’ Secondary School based in Southwark, South London is looking for a qualified and experienced Teacher of Science who can deliver lessons to KS3, KS4 and KS5. You will have an exciting opportunity to work with an already highly reputable school and join a performing and well-organised Science department, who are always seeking to improve and deliver to the highest standards. This position is to start from September 2023 on the full-time ongoing basis. Your new role Starting from September 2023, you will be responsible for teaching Sciences: chemistry, physics, and biology across KS3/ KS4/ KS5. As this is a long-term assignment, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, as well as completing the subsequent marking and assessment of pupils’ work, ensuring all pupils are progressing well within the classroom. This role will also require you to ensure all behaviour is appropriate, and that pupils are achieving to the best of their ability. As this is a long-term position, you will also be required to attend parents’ evenings and other school functions. You will join well-organised Science department alongside with other experienced Science Teachers and head of the department. What you’ll need to succeed To be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and have experience of teaching any Science across KS3/ KS4/ KS5 following UK curriculum. You must be available to start from September on full time basis and be able to work through to July 2024, with a real passion and drive to provide a high quality of teaching and therefore contribute to the overall success of the department.
